Oliver Peoples Sunglasses

Maybe the cold weather has got me longing for some summer sun, because for the last couple of days I've been attempting to talk myself out of purchasing a pair of Oliver Peoples sunglasses. While they definitely are more expensive glasses, they blend perfectly between the vintage stylings so loved here at Young Gent's Guide, and modern updates and colors. Oliver Peoples began when it's owners got ahold of a collection of vintage eyewear from an estate auction in 1986. They opened up a boutique to begin selling this collection, and quickly began designing their own frames inspired from these vintage glasses.

Gregory Peck - Raintree Frames with G15 GLS lenses - $385
(I'm considering signing up for medical testing to pay for these)

Sheldrake Sun - Cocobolo Frames with Champagne Photochromic Lenses - $385

SoloIst Round - Antique Gold/Oak/Sycamore - Spring 2012 Collection
Will be available in OP boutiques and select stores

  1. Yeah, the Sheldrake Sun looks like the pair of vintage frames I found at an aircraft hanger a couple years ago. I love that type of vintage styling. To me, it's the pinnacle of what sunglasses should be.
