NYFW: Band of Outsiders Fall 2011

Band of Outsiders did their first full scale runway show last Thursday, which included both men's and women's lines all looking decidedly rugged. The collection looked fit for a mountain expedition... for incredibly stylish people. Overall, it exuded a casual and relaxed style with aviator glasses, knit scarves, beanies and fingerless gloves and looked effortless and comfortable. The burnt orange color seen in the pants in first picture was a great accent color seen throughout the collection (except for maybe a pant and jacket combination look that had a bit of a burnt orange Canadian tuxedo vibe). Of all the pieces, my favorite look was definitely the shawl collared khaki suit in the last photo. You can't go wrong with a blue shirt under a khaki suit just as you can't go wrong with Band of Outsiders these days.
